01 — The reasonSome bonds change everything.

They make
ordinary days
extraordinary.

A familiar footstep. A head on your knee. That look across the room that says, I’m here.

They have a way of making us feel like the most important person in the world.

It’s our turn to make them feel it.

Where this begins

A bond that
stays with us.

Repario was founded by Craig Krull in Porto, Portugal, inspired by the bond we share with animals. The welcome at the door. The quiet company. The place beside us that is always theirs.

This chapter honours Douglas, and the companions who could not be here for what comes next. It is also for those still sharing our days. Their place in our lives is the reason to keep asking what more we might do, with care and honesty about what is possible.
